Education and Career History

1999

Graduated from Tokyo Metropolitan International High School. One-third of the students were foreigners, one-third were returnees, and one-third were Japanese-born and raised in Japan, like myself. I was amazed by the diversity that was taken for granted in this environment.

2003

Graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University, Department of International Politics, Economics, and Communications, Faculty of International Economics. I belonged to the Ono Seminar on Asian Economics and conducted a survey of the awareness of street vendors in Bangkok in collaboration with students from Thammasat University. My thesis focused on the night market in Hua Hin, Thailand, and I spent several months in Hua Hin to complete the research and write the paper.

2005

Assigned to Bangkok, Thailand. Worked at the Embassy of Japan in Thailand, the Japan Foundation (an independent administrative institution), and a Japanese food manufacturer. At the food manufacturer, I collaborated with a Thai sales team to propose products to supermarkets and convenience stores, aiming to expand distribution channels in the Thai market.

Passed the Japanese national qualification exam for tour guide interpreters (Thai language).

2015

Translated visa application documents for Thai exchange students. Translated visa application documents for approximately 100 exchange students per year.
